The second edition of WXV has been taking place over the past two weekends with defending champions England top of WXV 1 in Vancouver, Australia leading the way in WXV 2 in Cape Town and Spain setting the pace in WXV 3 in Dubai.

The final weekend of matches will determine the remaining six qualifiers for Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 with the six highest non-qualified teams confirming their place in England.

Maggie Cogger-Orr (New Zealand) will take charge of the USA v Ireland match on Friday at BC Place in Vancouver, before Sara Cox (England) oversees New Zealand v France and Aimee Barrett-Theron (South Africa) the WXV 1 title decider between hosts Canada and England on Saturday.

In Cape Town, Ella Goldsmith (Australia) will referee the WXV 2 match between two sides still seeking a first victory in the tournament – Wales and Japan – on Friday. Precious Pazani (Zimbabwe) then takes charge of South Africa v Italy at Athlone Sports Stadium on Saturday with Clara Munarini (Italy) to referee the title decider between Australia and Scotland.

Finally, in WXV 3, Holly Wood (England) will referee Samoa v Madagascar at The Sevens Stadium on Friday when Manusina know that a win will secure their place at Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025. The following day, Tyler Miller (Australia) will oversee the Netherlands v Hong Kong China match before Natarsha Ganley (New Zealand) referees Fiji v Spain with a win confirming Las Leonas’ place at England 2025.
